Yes, I am Elf. I am the person who walks into Hobby Lobby in July while they are starting to unload the Christmas goodness, and I cannot wait for Christmas. It runs through my veins, and the spirit is alive inside me. I see all the new paraphernalia, and I begin my Christmastime strategy.
This experience is all in my mind, so it is doable. As soon as I think about retrieving my first box from the basement, the exhaustion sets in.

Great Rooms ~ Lights Aglow
Look at the GLOW in our Lake House Great Room during Christmas…it is something I have tried to recreate all year round.
The image below is the Christmas glow from our Johns Creek home. Friends asked to use this room for their Christmas Card Pictures. The lighting from our tree and other elements made everyone look fantastic.

Dining Room ~ Festive Ideas & Edits
Our dining room at the Johns Creek house, pictured below, was a plus when decorating for Christmas. The dining space was visible upon entry to our home through the front door. This spacious dining room allowed me to use most of our Christmas decor.
Moving back to the lake created a problem (not a problem) because I didn’t have room for all of my Christmas fun. Technically, this is not a problem because I have edited and donated a lot I cannot use. A wise friend once said, what goes up must come down.
The two-piece Hutch always holds the spirited Christmas China. My kids still love it! Who wants to grow up? Trust me, our oldest daughter is not enjoying adulting.
Christmas Party Ready! I am elated the picture shown below exists because I use it to prep for my Christmas party every year.

While in the Johns Creek home, the kids were young, and they loved every knick-knack we owned.

I picked my battles, and this was not one of them. The joy of seeing these pictures cannot be measured. These two are in their twenties now, and you would think they had grown up. Nope. They still have all the toys shown above, and the toys still make appearances.
