The Master Bedroom Reveal and New Picture Window!
It is time for the Master Bedroom Reveal and the new Picture Window with all the trimmings! I am fessing up about recent weekly posts you have received over the past few weeks. They are re-posts from 2023. Because of new subscribers, I wanted to include them in some of my past Blogs.
Some exciting news is coming about additional updates to our home. First, I need to reveal some Game-changing enhancements I still owe my subscribers. Above all, there are images from never-before-seen remodeled rooms. These rooms include the Master Bedroom, the Master Bathroom, the Master Closet, and the Girl’s bedrooms.
Refraining from sharing the newly remodeled rooms has been frustrating, and it is my fault. I have wanted all rooms to be Pinterest-worthy images. I have failed you because it requires time and effort. Mostly, cleaning and decluttering. 🫣
For the record, I am the one who attempts to take Photographer-quality photos, yet I fall way short of creating quality images. Therefore, I will invest in a photographer, and I have an excellent one on standby, but I have a few items to complete. Great news! Updates are in the works! Woot! Woot!
The Master Bedroom Reveal & Inspiration
Can we start with where I started? Ha! Like most rooms in my home that have been updated or remodeled, I had inspiration. For the Master Bedroom, it was wallpaper. Who knew?!?! I thought wallpaper was dead. Oh, contrarre, my friend.
Below is my Inspiration Board. Okay, so they are a wallpaper and paint swatch. The fabric swatch was for curtains, but I went with remote control blinds. Every time I see the wallpaper, it makes me smile.
The Master Bedroom Picture Window ~ Game Changer
I have loved every update we have made to our home, but the Picture Windows have transformed our space. I do not want to leave my Paradise.
The Picture Window in the Master Bedroom has brought nature into the room. For instance, during the winter, the lake, the sky, and the sunshine are front and center. Sparkle and breathtaking views add a skip to my step. Additionally, spring and summer add rich green hues, and I see the outdoors from every angle.
The decking outside the window remains until we get our screened-in porch below. Yes, it looks goofy with the railing still intact, but we will get to it, like everything else.
Because updates are in the works and ordered 😜, I need to follow through with the completed rooms and share those makeovers. Again, these are amateur-hour photos, so please be kind.
A day will arrive when I share professional photos, and everything will be sparkly clean, organized beyond actual living 🙄, and Pinterest-worthy. I am a realist when it comes to the way we live, so at this time, this is the best I can do.
Doing the Work for the Master Bedroom Reveal
Living through a remodel is not ideal, but have some fun like us if you don’t have the budget to do it all before you move in.
Can we talk about the fan installation for a bit? My husband had it wired and ready to go. I was so excited because the ceiling fan for our Master Bedroom sat in a box for over a year. It was time to install. Yahoo!
Naturally, while wiring the fan, my husband accidentally hit metal with a live wire and shorted out the motor on the fan. OMG. Out of warranty? Is the motor still available? Holy, not again, Batman. More delay and then some. 😫
Lo and behold! Our excellent contact person at City Plumbing (our supply store) had the motor ordered and ready for pickup within a few days. Phew!
Now for the fun part! New stuff! Yay! New includes an Upholstered bed from the Pottery Barn Outlet. Brand new nightstands from Fox Hill. A new Rug from Home Goods! I could not wait to decorate!
Below I am sharing some redneck maneuvering when it comes to DIY. Whoa! Please notice the ladder edit, the lovely paint spackle behind the headboard, and the late-night wallpapering. Classy.
