New Windows & Doors!

We recently completed an exciting home update by replacing all the windows and doors, and the transformation has been incredible. The old doors and transoms were removed from the casings and replaced with sleek, modern Slimcraft doors. These products were purchased at The Liquidators Company in Dawsonville, GA and they are fantastic.

The Front Door

Our front entryway received a spectacular upgrade, and it’s a game-changer! Originally, we had a single door with a transom above and two transom windows on the sides.

While we kept the same casings, we replaced the single door with two taller, elegant doors. The new look is not only more visually striking but also adds a sense of grandeur to our home. The taller doors make the space feel more open and inviting, perfectly blending functionality with aesthetic appeal. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

These new doors offer a clean, contemporary aesthetic that blends perfectly with our home’s style, while also letting in an abundance of natural light. Removing the transoms not only freshened up the space but enhanced the overall flow, giving each room a more open, airy feel.

From the outside, the new doors make a bold statement, creating a grand and inviting appearance that complements the home’s exterior beautifully. The increased height adds an elegant, proportional balance to the facade, making the entire entrance feel more substantial and sophisticated.

The good news is the doors are installed and fit perfectly. The bad news (for my husband) is he has to paint them white. 🫤 There is additional work to be done. I will share another update with the finished look. Stay tuned!

Lakeview Windows & Doors

One of the most striking changes has been how much more sunshine now pours into our home. The new windows and doors are larger and more expansive, and they really bring the outdoors inside. The extra light has brightened up even the darkest corners, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere throughout. More importantly, the larger panes of glass have dramatically improved our views of the lake. Where once there were smaller, obstructed windows, we now enjoy unobstructed vistas, making every glance out the window feel like a picture-perfect scene.

While we still need to paint the new doors to complete the look, the difference is already so noticeable. The Slimcraft doors are sturdy and stylish, with their clean lines and modern finish.

Even without the final coat of paint, the transformation has been striking. They make a bold statement and instantly elevate the home’s appearance, both inside and out. The combination of new doors and windows has truly opened up the space, both literally and visually, allowing us to enjoy the surrounding beauty more than ever.

Overall, the new windows and doors have not only improved the functionality of our home, but they’ve also enhanced its aesthetic appeal. The infusion of natural light, coupled with the expanded views of the lake, has made our home feel more connected to nature.

It’s a change that has breathed new life into the space, and we’re excited to finish the final touches with the paint and remove the grids in the upper windows to complete the perfect look.
