New Picture Window ~ Master Bedroom
Master Bedroom ~ Game Changer #2
The French doors pictured below drove me crazier than crazy. The master bedroom where I wake up every morning had 6’0 doors for 25 years. I have always wished the doors were a Picture Window. These size 6’0 French doors blocked a good portion of my view.
Please read about my 6’0 doors to learn about door sizing; bigger is not always better. 😮
The original house plan had doors leading to a small deck off this bedroom on the second floor. Sounds cool in theory, but I never went on this deck. Aesthetically, it looked great from the outside and gave the house dimension, but it was useless.
Window Installation
The remodel has changed my life because of this new window. The magnitude of love and happiness for this window is off the charts. While unbelievably awesome, it was not easy to install. Not to mention we had a 7-month wait for the window.
Enormous window replaced the 6’0 doors on the second floor in our Master Bedroom. My husband left the original deck in place to hoist the window from the outside. It would not have fit trying to go through the house. Engineering🙄. The window was installed, yay, but when the company inspected the installation, the installers did not do it correctly. Un-yay.
What?!?!?!?
The company returned with different installers and put the window in properly, and it all worked out. Thank goodness. For this picture window, the most challenging part for me was waiting on the window for seven months. The re-install was no big deal since it was all done in one day. Phew.
The change in my view every morning when I wake up is below, and my dreams have come true.
Even though I waited 25 years for the window of my dreams, it has been worth it.
New doors for our Dining Room and Great Room are next🤞🏻. My Pinterest Inspiration images show those dreams here.
