5 Mistakes From My Home Remodel

We all make mistakes. Some mistakes are correctable, and some are not. Learn from me so you don’t make some of my mistakes. I have learned to live with the ones I can’t change. I can fix some of my errors, but they are expensive and can wait.
Purchased Too Soon ~ Mistake
I will start with the floating shelves. They were supposed to be for the Guest Bathroom but did not work in that space, so we repurposed them. See Below.



Fancy Faucets ~ Mistakes
Be careful when selecting fixtures and trims for your bathrooms. Trendy Town is a thing, and if you don’t spend time working through how you and your family live, you may make a mistake, or two, or three, or more. Because some people love a feature, it does not mean you will love it.

The Dining Area ~ Mistake
There are so many errors with my Dining/Breakfast Area that I have several posts in my blog to cover them all. In a nutshell, don’t sacrifice anything during a remodel. Every centimeter of your space needs planning.

Electrical Mistake
Of the 5 mistakes I made during my home remodel, the one I cannot change is the position of the electrical outlets. The receptacles blend and are not noticeable to anyone but me, so I have learned to live and love them.
I hide them with accessories. The plugs would look better if they were closer to the countertop and turned horizontal.
